The Dubai World Cup is a flat race, held for thoroughbreds annually since 1996 at the Nad Al Sheba in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The race was introduced by the Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum (owner of Darley Stud & Godolphin Racing). The Dubai World Cup is the world's richest horse race, with a purse of  $6,000,000 (approx. £3,000,000) since 2004.

It is a Group 1 flat race, run on dirt for Northern Hemisphere Thoroughbred four-year-olds & up and for Southern Hemisphere Thoroughbred three-year-olds & up. It is run over 1 mile and 2 furlongs.
